Double row angular contact (DRAC) ball bearings from Schaeffler, are units with solid inner and outer rings and ball and cage assemblies with polyamide, brass, or steel cages. Many sizes are available both in X-life™ quality and as a sealed variant.

  • Due to the raceway geometry and the two rows of balls, DRAC ball bearings can support forces in both radial and axial directions.
  • Particularly suitable for bearings arrangements in which rigid axial guidance is required.
  • Many sizes classified as X-life™ quality. other variants can be supplied by agreement.
  • Capable of supporting high radial loads.
  • Axial load carrying capacity is dependant on the contact angle selected.
  • Available with contact angles of 25º, 35º, and 45º. X-life quality variants have a contact angle of 30º.
  • Operating temperature limitations correspond with those of single-row angular contact ball bearings.
  • Can be sealed using seals, RSR, HRS, or non-contact sealing shields, to help protect against dust, contamination, and moisture.
  • Brass cage improves emergency running characteristics.
