The customer, the operator of a British coal-fired power station, was aiming to reduce the
running costs of their pump system, as part of a wider cost-saving initiative. The team within
the Hayley Pumps department arranged for a formal Energy Check to be carried-out in
close collaboration with Grundfos, on three old Weir pumps being used at the site.
The work resulted in a £56,000 annual saving in energy costs for the customer, with their CO2 emissions also reduced by 245tn per year.
