Hosted by the Made In Group, the team behind Made In The Midlands and Made In Yorkshire, Hayley Group are set to exhibit at Backing Britain 2020. The event will be the first of its kind in being a digital exhibition, with the usual annual event not possible due to the global Covid-19 crisis. Beginning on 17th August, the exhibition will run for two weeks.

The aim of the event is to enable manufacturers and those with crucial supply chain roles to network and stay connected, despite the extremely difficult times the Coronavirus outbreak has brought with it. Backing Britain Live 2020 will include webinars, conferencing, round table discussions, a virtual expo hall, digital mastermind groups, as well as a physical delegate pack. The pack will be shipped to all registered delegates and will include, among other things, a 100-page book featuring stories of resilience from Made In Group members – including us!

Jason Pitt, chief executive of the Made In Group, said: “Made In exhibitions are significant events that many members and visitors look forward to, but like many aspects of our way of life, we have had to make considerable adjustments. We have developed a digital platform that allows members to create their own social media microsite, upload news, attend virtual webinars and soon to include virtual mastermind groups, question-and-answer sessions and panel discussions.”

John Holden, National Accounts Director at Hayley Group said, “Given the current climate, obviously we are disappointed that we couldn’t be at the two planned exhibitions in person. However, combining the events and moving them to a virtual setting is testament to how businesses have had to be flexible, and come up with new ways of operating across industry.”
