ROCOL WIRESHIELD is a high-performance wire rope lubricant featuring advanced pseudoplastic rheology and outstanding corrosion protection.
- Initially appears to be a translucent amber gel, but immediately transforms into a fluid consistency under shear to aid complete penetration into the core of the rope.
- Stiffens back to a grease consistency when the shearing stops, preventing dripping or throw-off.
- Offers industry-leading corrosion protection.
- Excellent lubricating properties, reducing wear on wires and strands.
- Highly resistant to water wash-off including salt water.
- Pseudoplastic rheology increases penetrative properties of the product, enhanced by use of fluid applicator.
- Does not drip or fling.
- Temperature range: -30°C to +100°C.
- Approx. rope coverage: 50m per kg (based on a 25mm diameter rope).
- Recommended applications include; submerged rope, static rope, ship lifts, winches, hoists, drag lines, pulleys and springs.
